This pre-licensing course is for those students who are interested in pursuing the General Lines Agent license (2-20). This license allows an individual to insure automobiles, watercraft, homes, motorcycles, and pets. It is also used to write errors & omissions, workers compensation, and bonds.
An applicant for licensure must be a United States citizen or legal alien who possesses work authorization from the United States Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services. All applicants with the Florida Department of Financial Services will be responsible for providing a Social Security Number. If you are a legal alien with a work authorization visa, you must apply for and obtain a Social Security Card prior to applying for licensure with the Florida Department of Financial Services.

This class is based upon the laws of Florida; however, some companies have not fully adopted to these guidelines. You need to understand the concepts how they are taught in this class and within the textbook for the class and state exams. Once you begin working (or continue to work) for an insurance company, you may note many variations during training, specifically in the insurance forms. This course promotes a self-study environment and is completed online within the ANGEL Learning Management System. Students will work at their own pace and complete all requirements by 11:59 PM ET on the course ending date.
