Spanish for Criminal Justice Professionals is a 40-hour FDLE salary incentive course.
This is an introduction course to occupational Spanish. This course will enhance the student’s ability to relate and recall phrases and responses. At the end of this course, students will be able to establish a basic line of communication, a safe environment and identify the need for the assistance of a Spanish translator while in the performance of duties. This course will provide non-Spanish speaking criminal justice professionals with the basic Spanish language skilled needed to communicate.
Students must pass an end-of-course examination with a minimum score of 80%.
