In Harm’s Way: Psychological Survival for Law Enforcement *Agency Registration Required

ID : 77501
« back to classes page
This four-hour presentation focuses on the psychological survival for law enforcement officers. It is
important for agencies to recognize the fact that the extreme stressors their officers and first responders
face on a daily basis eventually take a toll. Every law enforcement officer, first responder, trainer,
supervisor, and executive needs to know about the signs of suicide and what steps can be taken to
prevent it. The stigma of asking for helping must be stripped away and the need for open and frank
discussion should be encouraged.
Agency approval required before registration. Most agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.This course has restricted access to only currently sworn and direct support staff of an agency.
