Domestic Terrorism

This course is designed to teach about domestic terrorist groups, how to recognize indicators relating to domestic terrorism. Students will explore law enforcement’s roles and responsibilities in combating domestic terrorism. Information presented will be with regard to common terrorism indicators to include dress, speech, paraphernalia, social media posts, and several others.

The course will discuss officer safety issues relating to domestic terrorism as many domestic terrorism events have turned into active shooter situations.
Course topics include:  
  • Narco-terrorism
  • Understanding cyber terrorism
  • Categories of terrorist
  • Terrorism indicatiors of enforcement
  • Officer safety concerns
  • Identification of domestic terror groups

Agency approval usually required before classMost agencies request that individual officers contact their training department prior to self-registration.
